TEAM CAPTAIN
The Team Captain shall:
- Be involved in team selection.
- Ensure all team players know time and venue for each match.
- Arrange scorers as required for Division 1,2 and 3 matches.
- Ensure score sheet is filled in prior to match with players’ details and given to umpire.
- Organise refreshments for home matches.
- Do the toss at the beginning of the game and report to the umpire.
- Call for three cheers at end of match and thank umpires for officiating.
- Ensure score sheet is signed off at the end of the game, score sheet handed in and result submitted.
- Maintain discipline on court.
- Address queries from team to umpire.
- Make team changes during match as deemed necessary.
- Ensure court is paid for.
- Ensure umpire is paid and any other expenses reimbursed.
- Check availability for following match.
- Maintain a log of scores and player of match.
- Report back to coach of any areas of development needed.
- Organise warm up and warm down sessions at start and end of matches.
